Since this has been the year of the hiatus around here, I figure I might as well finish out the year with one. I'm shutting it down until after the new year.

I have a bunch of half written stuff that I could pull together and post, but I'm just not feeling it. I've got way too much going on elsewhere to take the time to write and edit stuff for this space. Plus none of it seems interesting to me right now. And if I'm bored by it then, brother, you would be twice over. It's quality over quantity from now on here at the m-skills.

Anyway, the big deal is after 13 years of more or less living in Rhode Island, I've moved back to Massachusetts. OK, some might argue that Seekonk just barely qualifies as MA since it's a short leap over the border, but I'm happy to be a Masshole once again.

It's a great house, but has needed a shitload of work up front before the family can actually start living there full time. My every waking, non-work moment has been consumed with cleaning, spackling, caulking and painting, painting, painting. And still more painting.

All that has decimated my creative thought processes and left precious little free time which, don't take this the wrong way but, which I would rather spend with my wonderfully amazing and incredibly fast growing kids than the internet. You dig?

Things will settle down soon and the synapses will start firing again, but until then happy holidays and new year, etc. See you in '05.
