1. Since I'm deeply uninterested in and probably wholly ethically opposed to pornography that involves goats, I'm considering dumping Movable Type for Textpattern. With a lot going on in my life, I just don't have time for constantly deleting spam comments with links to societies shittiest sewers posted ten at a clip by apparently unstoppable robots.

2. The problem with making such a switch is that I know absolute zero about PHP and MySQL. I admit it, I know nothing, zip, nada, the goose egg. My brain is sponge for all the moves and tricks of XHTML and CSS. (I think this is because, in a way, those languages are essentially visual. PHP and MySQL not so much.) Any time I try to sit down and figure those things out, my mind hastily drifts off to thoughts of lawn care and carnauba wax.

3. It's time to get all 'up with learning' because as I was typing #2, I got hit with another ten spam comments. Here's wishing cancer and famine on those who perpetrate this crap.

4. And in baseball: “...Boston is 27-11 when Schilling or Martinez start. The rest of the time, the Red Sox are 23-29.” Ouch. Time to fit those two with bionic arms I would say.
