I don't know how I missed this interview with (former Providence icon turned worldwide mogul) Shep over at Buddyhead.

"I was working at a skate shop in Providence [Rhode Island] making Clash, Misfits, Minor Threat, and Sex Pistols t-shirts and selling them when my boss wasn't there. He only came in on Saturdays, so I was the only one there all week. So I sold the shirts and could keep all the money by undercutting the shop. One night I was at home and my friend Eric, who's a pro skater, was over at my house and was like, "Man I'm bored, I wanna learn how to do that." So I was looking through the paper for a high contrast picture for him to practice on, y'know to cut the black out with a little exacto-knife and leaving little connectors so the eyes don't fall out and all that. Then I came across this picture of Andre the Giant and was like, "This is what you gotta do!" he was like, "Why? That's stupid, I don't wanna do that." I was like, "No way! This is dope, this is the new posse! Andre!"
