A Few Things:

1. I'm not really a hockey fan, but this quote, sent to me by a co-worker, struck me:

"Hockey has always been like punk rock in its pre-every-mall-rat-in-suburbia-Abercrombie-wearing teenage-screamer-sanitized-sound-a-like-Blink stage. Not for everyone, and not for the casual."
From John Buccigross's article on espn.com

Indeed. That's also the most accurate description of the current state of punk rock I've read. And in one sentence too.

2. This simple little display of dry wit over at snowsuit.net has had me chuckling all day.

3. Speaking of dry wit, my friend and danger to cinder blocks and shopping carts, Steve has started a blog about his motorcycle racing adventures. For everything you ever wanted to know about two stroke racing bikes, check out the Team Morse Racing weblog.

4. In case you weren't aware, my personal hero Dan Benjamin - who is an absolute genius and the smartest man I've ever met - is seeking gainful employment as soon as possible.

5. If things continue in the direction they are going, I may set sail in a similar boat. It's not so much the job itself, or the environment; even my boss is pretty cool. It's the work. There comes a point when one's visual creativity just can no longer bear the slow lobotomy of designing snowflake patterns for costume jewelry displays.

I saw this interview with Michael J. Fox once in which he said something to the effect that if you're a fisherman you can't stand in a field yelling "I'm a fisherman" you have go out in the water and catch some fish.
