1. Since my last “A few things” entry was inadvertently deleted, here’s a new one. I continue to be massively busy at the regular job and on many projects for this site and others.

3. This is a stunning example of both a gorgeous 1969 Mustang Coupe and the perfect “hot rod stance”. Damn, if only my ’69 Coupe was so sweet.

4. Closely related to both humor and hot rods: In the lost “A few things” entry I linked to this article about “speaking Caddyshack”. I further mentioned that my family used to communicate using Caddyshack, Animal House, Stripes and especially Monty Python quotes. Minutes after reading that entry my brother Randy, who is highly talented in the field of auto restoration and painting, e-mailed asking, “Hey Jon, what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?”

To which I of course replied, “African or European swallow?”

I never got a response, so I can only imagine that he replied, “I don’t know that...” and was instantly hurled into the Gorge Of Eternal Peril.

5. While you sit around and wonder if a thing like a rotating CSS background image is even possible, folks like Dan Benjamin are making it happen. Awesome. I so need to find the appropriate project to use this trick on.
