This is something that has been kicking around in the back of my mind since a Google search led me to The Perils of Leisure over a year ago. The help I got from Jason and my recent interest in collecting local links got me thinking about community and has inspired this idea.

Why not follow the examples set in bigger places like Boston, LA, Dallas/Fort Worth and so on by putting together a community site that unifies area weblogs? Live in Rhode Island or neighboring Massachusetts? Have a blog or reasonable facsimile thereof? Why not participate? Ocean State Blogs.

Right now it's just an idea and a roughed out logo, so I'm encouraging any and all feedback from all of you area bloggers (or anybody). Like the idea? Hate it? Please feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me with any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.
