I'm a football fan. There I said it.

Let me clarify this though: only pro football. I couldn’t give a crap about high school or college football. You also won't catch me wasting Sunday afternoon swilling beer and yelling at the TV or playing fantasy football or wearing some Starter jersey. I just keep up with the scores and the standings and watch an occasional game. I've been hooked ever since the ’85 season when the Bears were absolutely invincible and it had to be my team, the New England Patriots, who got crushed by them in the Superbowl.

Last night the Patriots put together a spectacular comeback in the middle of a snowstorm. That's the fun of pro football. With a few minutes left in the game it seemed like it was all over and they came back and won.

I'm staying realistic about the Pats success though. If you're a fan you know that heartache is only a “Berry the Bears” t–shirt away.
